ASEBIO Selects EBD Group to Provide Partnering Management Services at BIOLATAM

More than 500 delegates are expected to attend from companies and institutions in Latin America and elsewhere (Europe, US, Japan) with interests in the region. BIOLATAM aims to become the global event for Latin American biotechnology.

BIOLATAM aims to provide a platform for business development between biotechnology companies and other sectors (pharmaceutical, healthcare, food, veterinary, energy, etc.) from all over the world with interests in Latin America. The event will include conferences on bioeconomics and biofuels, advanced therapies, biosimilars, biotechnology in cosmetics and food, personalised medicine, healthcare products, and venture capital, among others.

"Our alliance with EBD Group is an assurance of quality and will raise awareness about BIOLATAM on a global level, expanding our connections through the EBD Group’s own network," says Regina Revilla, Chairman of ASEBIO.

"We are convinced that BIOLATAM, like BioSpain, will become one of the group’s most important partnering events", commented Carola Schropp, President of EBD Group.

EBD Group was also a supplier for ASEBIO’s BioSpain 2012 event, held in Bilbao in September. The event was a success, ranking as fourth worldwide among biotechnology business development/partnering events. BioSpain hosted a total of 2,775 meetings which is a 29% increase on the previous edition in 2010. A total of 762 companies attended the event.

Planning of partnering and one-on-one interviews begins considerably ahead of the event. EBD Group’s partneringONE® tool makes it easy to find and arrange meetings with other companies and institutions.

The provisional interview schedule, which will be available one week prior to BIOLATAM, will be updated daily, even during the event, and EBD Group will send email reminders to participants.

The partnering system, including interview requests and availability information, will be accessible several weeks prior to BIOLATAM.
